Keeping a positive image of girls and women is one of the goals of Females United for Action. They organize and bring attention to issues that affect women and girls and take action to address them. As well as educate themselves and others on the matter. To help young girls find a supportive educational environment after school, the YWCA of Chicago offers a 14-week program called TechGyrls. It provides a safe, diverse girls-only environment where they are provided with technology tools and life skills to become successful leaders in the careers they choose to pursue. The YWCA Chicago and Females United for Action create programs empowering girls and defeating violence against women. The YWCA Both organizations seek to give young women a voice, an education in technology, and a right to be heard. They are made up of young girls and women around the Chicagoland area.Links:
