Looking for an opportunity to improve your social media engagement this summer? The Workshop is now offering an introductory social media course, Get FIT (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter): Social Media for Beginners. We’ll review how to set up an account for your organization, audience demographics and the best strategies for authentic engagement on each platform. Please bring a smart phone and/or a tablet, as well as a laptop if possible, as this will be a hands-on course!

Susy Schultz on WBEZ’s Afternoon Shift

In case you missed it: Workshop president Susy Schultz joined Kristin McQueary from the Chicago Tribune Editorial Board and host Niala Boodhoo on WBEZ’s Afternoon Shift on Friday, May 22, 2015 to discuss the week’s headlines including mental health and the criminal justice system, particularly the Cook County Jail; Mayor Emanuel’s second inauguration; and the end of the millionaire tax bill in Springfield.

Schultz highlighted the stories she felt had been missed by the mainstream press, including an Englewood youth/police baseball league and the wonderful youth engagement programs at The Montessori School of Englewood.
