Free stuff for nonprofits from Google, YouTube

Google & YouTube offer free, low-cost tools to nonprofits

A simple application process (you need to have or create a YouTube account and fill out a 1- or 2-page form) and 501c3 status is required to get a YouTube nonprofit account. It includes (according to the site):

  • Premium branding capabilities and increased uploading capacity
  • Rotation of your videos in the “Promoted Videos” areas throughout the site
  • The option to embed a Google Checkout “Donate” button — and to fundraise without transaction costs.

Meanwhile, YouTube parent Google (right?) is offering free donation pages through 2009 and promising low costs after that, through Google Checkout for Nonprofits.
