Sessy Nyman
Sessy Nyman is the Vice President of Public Policy and Government Relations of Illinois Action for Children. Before becoming Vice President in 2001, Sessy started her career with the agency in 1999 as the Community Organizer and Lobbyist for the Program.
Sessy has her B.A. in Government and International Relations from The University of South Carolina and her M.S. in Cultural Geography from The University of Massachusetts-Amherst. She has presented both locally and nationally on early childhood policy issues. Sessy divides her time between the legislature in Springfield, visiting parents and providers around the state, and her office in Chicago. Sessy is married and has one daughter.
