The 2013 Terkel Award Winners

A big congratulations goes out to Megan Cottrell (Chicago Defender), Fernando Diaz (Hoy) and Dave Hoekstra (Chicago Sun-Times). Their exemplary work in community journalism has won them this year’s Studs Terkel Community Media Award.


These esteemed journalists will receive their award in front of an audience of Chicago media professionals, community organizers, nonprofit leaders, and communications professionals at the 24th Anniversary Studs Terkel Community Media Awards Benefit.

Join the awardees and the Workshop this March 14, 2013 to celebrate Studs and the best stories told this year, by Chicagoans about Chicagoans.
