Chicago is the World: Ethnic Media Briefing on the Chicago Mayoral Election

Community Media Workshop is proud to host a briefing on the upcoming Chicago mayoral election for ethnic media outlets.  The forum will be held January 11, from 9 to 11 AM at our offices at 218 S. Wabash, 7th floor, Chicago.

As stated on the Chicago is the World blog:

Because there’s a lot at stake in the mayoral and city council elections for Chicago’s ethnic communities, you will want to join us for our ethnic news media election briefing on Tuesday, Jan. 11.
You will want to make sure you can explain why and how this election matters to your readers, to your listeners, to your audience.
Experts will provide the election-related facts and insights you need for your stories, editorials, blogs or surveys.
We will have speakers from Enlace Chicago, the Asian-American Institute, the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR) and Prof. Robert Starks, Director of the Harold Washington Institute for Research and Policy Studies at Northeastern Illinois University.
Here is a chance also to meet with other members of the ethnic news media and help build the Chicago Ethnic News Media Alliance (CEMA), a movement to unite the ethnic news media.
This is a free event, but space is limited, so click here to reserve your spot!
