Tell Your Stories – Lansing

In partnership with Michigan Nonprofit Association,we’ll present a Tell Your Stories mini-conference:

When: 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11

Where: James B. Henry Center for Executive Development, 3535 Forest Road, Lansing, Michigan 48910

The day will feature two half-day workshops:

Story Power: Professional story-teller Susan O’Halloran breaks down how to find your organization’s stories, structure, and tell them to engage your audiences (find out why folks from Battle Creek to Phoenix say stuff like “[Sue] opened my eyes to what works to communicate in today’s world.”

Social Media Need to Know: Emily Culbertson, consultant (and previously a developer of social media policies and practices for Robert Wood Johnson foundation) leads a hands-on session — with laptops provided to everyone, for the day, by the Henry Center — that takes note of the fact that what we “need to know” is changing all the time as social media, and how nonprofits use it, shifts and changes.
